Objectives: This research aims to monitor the media role of the Iraqi National Security Service through digital security content, particularly video clips published on social media platforms, in limiting drug promotion. It also seeks to determine the effectiveness of this content as an influence tool on audiences, examine patterns of their interaction with it, and evaluate their perceptions of it within the framework of social responsibility theory.
Methodology: The researcher adopted the survey method and used a questionnaire to collect data from digital media audiences. The study sample consisted of (235) male and female respondents, taking into account various demographic characteristics including gender, age, and educational level.
Results: The results showed that females demonstrate a higher level of awareness than males regarding the role of digital security content in reducing drug promotion. Individuals with higher educational levels also showed greater awareness and acceptance of methods aimed at limiting such promotion. Additionally, older individuals and those with higher education were more receptive to the proposed security content, reflecting a stronger awareness of social responsibility regarding community security issues. The study also revealed variations in the perceived importance of digital security content related to the maturity and experience associated with respondents’ demographic characteristics.
Conclusion: The results highlight the importance of developing digital security content and strategically employing it to enhance its role in limiting drug promotion while taking into account demographic differences in audience responses. The findings also emphasize the need to strengthen public awareness and social responsibility to support digital security policies more effectively.
